In a case in the Court of Appeal called “BRITCITS” the Court declined to strike down the Adult Dependant Relatives rules, which they said were reasonable.
In a case in the High Court called “MK” the Court decided that an Indian child who was stateless solely by virtue of not having applied for Indian citizenship was thus entitled to British citizenship.
In a case in the Upper Immigration Tribunal called “Capparelli” the Tribunal seemed to arrive at the conclusion that many EEA nationals who had been granted British citizenship had been so granted unlawfully.
Lady Hale has been appointed President of the Supreme Court, the first woman to be so appointed.
